Appointments to play beads frequently lead to unexpected delight. It happened this week when a treasure necklace appointment took a fortuitous turn.
Pat fingered her pendant with obvious caring and respect, commenting:
“This was her only nude.”
She told me the story of artist Eva Newman of Oakland, CA. Pat talked about Eva’s amazing creativity, her late-in-life art lessons and her appreciation for women in the arts.
She described a person who specialized in watercolor, and was skilled in many other mediums.
As I listened, I realized the piece deserved full attention in its own necklace.
Gorgeous lavender faceted glass and green and white faceted ceramic beads from an estate formed the perfect complement for the pendant. Earrings added a touch of completion.
At the end of the afternoon, Pat models her jewelry.
What memory could you showcase?
