As 2012 closes, it’s most appropriate to send a thank you shout out to the many customers who visited with me at one of my shows, purchased a piece of my wearable art, or otherwise supported my bead affair.
I couldn’t have done it without you.
Here, a look at the displays from this month’s Designing Women Show:
Some of the milestones I celebrated this year included participating in my first juried show, the Corrales Old Church Art Fest in June, and my second annual Sandia Heights Artist Studio Tour in September.
In addition, I attended more than a dozen bead-related classes and visited numerous bead stores in Albuquerque and wherever I traveled.
I helped others discover their love for beading and joined other bead aficionados as a member of the Bead Society of New Mexico.
This month I was juried into one of Albuquerque’s iconic attractions, Amapola Gallery, a coop gallery featuring more than 50 local artists and craftspeople. My work will be on display there beginning February 1, 2013.
Most importantly, throughout the year I had great fun making and sharing my wearable art with wonderful women.
I can hardly wait for the next chapter in the continuing saga of my bead affair. Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, warm wishes to each of you and yours. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, happy New Year!
