SHA Studio Tour Welcomes MaryEllenBeads
The 13th annual Sandia Heights Artists Studio Tour (SHA Studio Tour for short) happens September 10-11, 2016. Twenty-four artists from my Sandia Heights neighborhood come together to show and sell art. We invite friends, neighbors and the public. This year the group concentrated on expanding the offerings at each stop.
This is my fifth event. I’m excited to partner with Lynda Burch and guest artist Cindy Chavez at Lynda’s home studio.
Many readers of this blog know that Lynda Burch introduced me to Amapola Gallery and Cindy Chavez and I are members of Collaborheartists. Both of these ladies rock the bounds of creativity. We will have a stunning weekend show.
Meanwhile, I’m in a flurry of preparation. Beaded objects cover the workbench while potential ice resin earrings and necklace charms hold a place on another table. The number of unfinished objects awaiting completion is scary.
On the other hand, some of my new creations raise the bar on dramatic.
(I promise to post more pictures soon.)In the meantime, I’m in completion mode, lowering the number of UFOs (unfinished objects) in the studio.
Put the weekend of September 10-11 on your calendar. I’ll look forward to seeing you, showing you my art and sharing Lynda and Cindy’s creativity with you as well.
For a preview of all the art in the 13th Annual SHA Studio tour, join us 5-8pm for Preview Night at High Desert Art and Frame, in the Smith’s plaza on the corner of Tramway and Montgomery NE. There will be door prizes, food and drink.
